Advocacy: • Helping parents understand and advocate for their rights and needs within the system. • Information and Education. • Helping parents understand the child welfare system, services available, and their responsibilities. Collaboration: • Facilitating communication and collaboration between parents and service providers. Systems Change: • Improved Family Engagement. • Parent partners encourage parents to participate more actively in their children's care and decision-making. • Increased Hope and Empowerment. • Sharing their experiences, parent partners can instill hope and empower parents to take steps towards positive change. • Reduced Re-entry Rates. • Studies have shown that families supported by parent partners are less likely to experience subsequent removals.
